Slides beside me
by Takehound
For a lesson: each slide sits beside you while you teach it, so the viewer sees both, and nothing covers its text.

What Hound does with it
- Goal: a lesson where the viewer sees the slide and the teacher together, and never hears about a slide nobody can see.
- Look through their slides and screen recordings and what each one shows. Then read the whole transcript.
- Put each slide beside them over the lines that refer to it or teach what it shows, from the word that starts that point until they move on (about 3 to 12 seconds), with its sound off.
- Use a slide again only when they come back to it. Leave them alone on screen for a few seconds between two slides.
- Never put a card over a slide's own text. A list or a chapter card waits until the slide is off.
- Check: see each slide where it starts and halfway through. Its text can be read and their face is in the small panel.
- Say which lines got a slide, which slides you did not use and why, and what you would need to place the rest.
