What Hound does with it

  1. Goal: when they talk about a place they went or a person in their life, the viewer sees it, in their own footage.
  2. List all of their footage first. Then read the whole transcript and note every line that names a place, a trip or a person.
  3. For each of those lines, look for a clip whose description shows that place or that person. Put it over the line from the word that names them, for 2 to 5 seconds, with a reason that says only what the clip shows.
  4. Only a clip that really shows the place or the person counts. If you are not sure who is in a clip, leave that line on them and ask.
  5. Keep them on screen for at least 3 seconds between two clips, and use each clip once.
  6. Check: see each clip you placed at its first second and in its middle. Move one that opens on a blur, and take off one that does not show what its reason says.
  7. Say which places and people got a clip, which had nothing in their footage, and any clip where you need them to tell you who is in it.
